If you have been following the news you will know that there has been a disastrous earth quake followed by tidal waves that have resulted in the death of over 23,000+ people in this part of the world.

 

Some of you have already emailed or called us concerned for our safety. We were not affected since we are far up inland. We were concerned for a few of our YWAM staff who live and work in the beach area. They are all OK . Our fellow staffers who are down in the Phuket area went to take a look and said that whole resort towns were washed away and where there were restaurants, homes, etc.. .there was now only beach or wreckage. We are following the news also and are amazed at the level of destruction and death that this thing caused.

 

Keep the region in your prayers. This one will take quite some time to recover from and I can’t imagine what those who are directly affected by it with lost loved ones are feeling.
