It was great to be back in Canada to reconnect with family, friends and supporters. A small part of our time back was spent in well needed stay-at-home style vacation the rest was filled with travel, speaking and starting something new. That something new is a relief & development charity to help facilitate the new work that we will be doing with at-risk & poverty affected people. I won’t go into too much detail for now but you should soon get a letter from Compasio Relief & Development – that’s us!
Part of my new role with Compasio is spending time introducing people from my western world to the people I now serve in the east. When friends or teams come my goal is to have them meet those that are most on my heart – the poor, needy and vulnerable of this region. Soon after our return I had great fun taking a couple of new Ottawa friends along on a scouting trip into a couple of needy villages that we are considering for projects.
December 1st we opened our girls dorm for sponsored students that Joane has been working with. You can read more on this in the soon-coming Compasio report.
