Update -- 3 pm Thai time

Al just left this morning for Phuket. He and a co-worker hope to show the area to an American journalist and another missionary based out of YWAM Colorado Springs where we used to work. The journalist is there to do a story on how missionaries are helping during this crisis, and our missionary friend is there to assess the relief situation with hopes of bringing some teams of young people in to perhaps help re-build some villages.

Al told me he hopes to be back tomorrow night, but knowing the situation he is heading into and the shortage of skilled volunteers, I have a feeling he may be there a bit longer.

Several people have inquired as to where they might be able to donate some funds for the tsunami relief or for Al's travel expenses. ........... Funds sent towards tsunami relief will be forwarded directly to YWAM Thailand, who has committed to helping re-build a Thai Muslim village that was completely destroyed by the tidal wave. At this point, all villagers are housed in schools and the village headman has requested YWAM's help as the village has not yet received any help from the government or the army.

Thanks again for all your prayers and thoughtful emails...
Joane
